Confirmation of Payee API

The Confirmation of Payee API is designed for UK based PSP’s that need or want to have a Confirmation of Payee (CoP) solution in place for sending CoP Requests. This section describes the technical specification of SurePay’s Gateway API, designed to comply with Pay.UK requirements regarding sending CoP Requests. Based on this specification, a consumer of the API will be able to submit a request for name-matching and retrieve the corresponding response. The API serves as a gateway and is responsible for on-boarding and routing to all CoP participants based on the sort code (details of routing is internal logic and will not be described here).
